I attended last Sunday an Indian exhibition ‘Dastkari’ in Beirut Souks, supported by the Indian Embassy in Lebanon.

Dastkari, was an exhibition of Indian Handicrafts, people came specifically from India to show case their work.

And I had the pleasure to see the work of NamahAsteria, an ethnically modern collection of semi-precious and silver jewelry pieces by Namita Bhatnagar. Combining the charm of traditional India with the style necessities of the modern woman.

They have lovely scarves, saris and jewelry!

The Silly Spoon!

While I was checking the new Winter collection by Alice Eddé, there was  the opening of “The Silly Spoon” which is located just facing Green & Glam, Achrafieh, Zahret El Ehsan.

Owned by the two sisters “Lea Majdalani Ayoub” and “Jessica Majdalani”, The Silly Spoon is a fresh and contemporary tableware and home accessories store. Charming and seductive from the moment you walk into the store, tableware pieces and accessories catch your eye at every corner.

Lea and Jessica handpicked every item with today’s modern style in mind, making sure there’s something for everyone. The Silly Spoon is filled with an elegant and enchanting selection of pieces.

My favorite section was the tea sets of course, they have mugs with different sizes and colors.

Alice Eddé Autumn‐Winter 2014‐2015 Collection

I was invited to the launch of the newest collection by Alice Eddé, in Green & Glam, Achrafieh, Zahret El Ehsan.

Once again, the Alice Eddé collection garners its inspiration from the spectrum of  colors blooming in Alice’ own garden.
Rich,  deep and exotic,  the mauveemerald and  heather jewel  tones  of Winter’s
cyclamens,  violets,  primroses  and  evergreens  are  celebrated,  and  contrasted
with  classic  blacks.  This  allows  the  punctuations  of  color  to  really  pop,  and
brighten any outfit this season.

The collection comprises a full range of sizes, from tote messenger bags and lux
backpacks  to  clutches  and  smaller  leather  goods, including  laptop  sleeves  and
phone covers.
Handcrafted by  traditional artisans in Byblos, Lebanon  from  the highest quality
nubucks,  leathers,  lambskins and  fabrics,  these  elegant  yet  fashion‐forward
statement  pieces  are  designed  in  the  distinctive  Alice  Eddé ‘envelope’  style,
which can easily take you from midday to soirée.

I loved the collection, especially how the bright colors were introduced (pink and yellow), and I appreciated the small-sized bags, that you can carry with you everywhere.

My favorite bag from the collection is this one, mixing golden and black.

The Dream Catcher Collection By Mukhi Sisters

I attended the launch of the latest collection by the Mukhi Sisters, the “Dream Catcher

Originally conceived by the Native American Ojibwe people, Dream catchers were made to represent Asibikaashi, the Spider Woman, who took care of people and especially children across the land. Made of a circle, which was then weaved across in a web-like pattern and then decorated with feathers, the dream catcher was hung from a bed, “catching” all bad dreams and letting only good ones through, allowing the dreamer a peaceful and serene slumber.

From this original inspiration the Mukhi Sisters have created a collection that represents the chasing of good dreams and making these dreams into a reality.

The Dream Catcher Collection, which includes earrings, pendants, rings, bracelets and body pieces, for both men and women, is a symbol of the persevering passion to make good things happen; to strive for a dream and make it happen. Designed in both yellow and rose gold, the collection mostly incorporates the use of diamonds and turquoise, in fluid movement that symbolizes the energy of optimism.

It’s such a unique and lovely collection, dominated by feather designs, including colored stones. These splendid items, chic and simple, will add a touch of brightness to your outfits.

Why every woman should have a small wallet?

I’m not sure if you were suffering lately from the same thing, but when ever i’m carrying a cross bag or a clutch, my wallet can’t fit :S

I keep on squeezing it, removing papers from it, trying several options and it never fits 😦

So I went searching for a small wallet and I found mine at Aizarani in Jdeideh.

Here are my thoughts about why you should own one!

1- It can fit in ANY BAG

No matter how small the bag, the small wallet will fit easily and you won’t worry about forgetting any of your valuables at home.

You can also add it in your big, every day bags, and don’t worry about loosing it between all your stuff, you can grab it easily!

2- Wisely designed

Even if it’s too small, but it’s designed very wisely. You can add all the bank cards that you want to use, your ID, your rewards cards…

You can put your cash money in the inside pocket, and you can put the receipts that you get when paying with your card in the pocket from the left side.

I still didn’t decide how to use the back side of it. What do you think I should put there?

3- Payments will become easier!

Yes, believe me!

Your wallet is already organized, you just take it out of your bag, pick the card or take out the cash and pay.

No more searching for your huge wallet, opening it, searching in it for cash between the zillion papers you gathered from ages ago, or wait where is my card moments?!

4- Available in different colors

Plus it comes in multiple colors: red, beige, brown… and at a very affordable price!

I got the red one, it adds life to my bag 🙂

Do you have a small wallet? Do you advise on owning one?

Share your experiences with me 🙂
