L’Eclaireur settled in the heart of the Puces in Saint-Ouen, in Habitat Vintage clothing. New destination from L’Eclaireur, this gallery hosts design talents, selected by Martine and Armand Hadida.

With the opening of this space, the couple offers a reconstructed face of fashion and design. The Eclaireur creates places as well as spaces of life and discovery suitable for informed aesthetes.

Today, the workshop which housed the collections of chandeliers in the famous Maison Steinitz welcomes contemporary designers such as Vincenzo de Cotiis, and a selection of
design Vintage clothing.

Fashion is presented virtually through new technologies : a new invitation by L’Eclaireur to be enjoyed from Saturday to Monday.

Imperfection in Perfection

Trained at the Milan Polytechnic, Vincenzo de Cotiis marries the sense of space of an architect with the sensibility to materials of a visual artist.
He forges pure forms – either design objects, ambiances – following an organic process that allows the final product to retain traces of this process.
Touch is as important as sight: the choice of precious materials, raw, sometimes salvaged, always with an intense evocative power, characterizes each project.
Cotiis’ activity includes design for companies like Ceccotti Collezioni, Rossana and Busnelli, interior design for private customers and commercial spaces.
Among his most recent projects are: the Excelsior in Milan and Verona, the new concept for Sportmax shops and Straf Hotel (Milan, 2004).

The series of limited editions from PROGETTO DOMESTICO offers an experimental conception of non-duplicable furnishing pieces more akin to sculpture than design with a functional purpose.
PROGETTO DOMESTICO reinterprets furnishings using materials and salvaged parts
that have been treated with experimental procedures and techniques. This interpretations goes beyond the limits of pure design and its obsession with lines, proposing a vision which is closer to contemporary art than to design.
Unusual shapes give a second life to design elements and prototypes made with recycled
materials, characterized by the passage of time.
The salvaged materials are treated with experimental methods, according to a criterion of industrial reproducibility. The unusual appearance of hand-treated surfaces with texture-effects on objects and material that characterize the production of PROGETTO DOMESTICO as recycled wood, fiberglass, resin, leather, brass and iron are true visual and tactile experiences.

Meet the Blogger #10: Dalia from The D Scoop

Today’s blogger is young, sweet and simple. She’s also a fashion designer and fashion editor in U magazine… Now you know who she is… Dalia of course 🙂

1- We know that you have a deep love for fashion, can you tell us more how it started and moved forward into a carrier?

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been altering my clothes at home, cutting out inspirational photos from magazines and so on. When it was time to choose a career, I pursued a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design at Esmod. When it was time to work, I chose to target fashion from a more subjective angle; hence I got a job as a fashion Editor at U Magazine. I soon discovered that I preferred to write and judge fashion rather than design it.

2- What is your favorite Summer trend? And which trend would you like to see GONE?

One of my favorite pieces this year is the “Flatform”- aka a flat platform. Flatforms have become my on-the-go shoes since they’re comfortable like flat sandals yet give me a boost in height, since I need it! Also, I’m loving the Bermuda shorts in a wide cut; I think they’re really classy yet tasteful.

I’d like to see everything neon to be gone; this trend is so over and done with. I’ve never really been a fan of phosphoric colors anyway, except if it were really discrete or in details.

3- From where do you get your inspiration?

I get a lot of my inspiration from the runway shows. I’m so obsessed with fashion week, I feel like I literally drop the world just to follow-up. When a designer or brand go big on the catwalk, or do a little twist that makes all the difference; the hard work and creativity really inspire me. I love seeing new ideas; that’s basically what I’m always on the look out for.

4- What is the one thing that you can’t leave the house without?

My portable iPhone charger. I must admit, I get cranky when I run out of battery and lose connection.

Don’t forget to follow her blog for more updates,  and follow her on Twitter and Pinterest 🙂

Hackett London is finally in ABC Dbayeh!

It’s been a while I haven’t dedicated a post for the Gents!

On June 1st, a branch of Hackett London opened in ABC Dbayeh, and I can assure you, it wasn’t a normal one!

A flash mob entertained the Mall! Dressed to the nines in signature suits, ties and vintage bowler hats, six upstanding gentlemen took shoppers by surprise as they made their way through ABC Dbayeh.

Boost your run with adidas!

Some of you saw my check-ins lately…and yes I’m back to gym 🙂

My interest to sports wear and shoes increased, and I saw this nice shoe suitable for all of you who are running!

You put a lot of energy into your run, and the women/men’s adidas Energy Boost shoes give some of it back.

The revolutionary technology allows small energy capsules in the soles to store and unleash energy more efficiently with every stride.

BOOST provides more energy return than any other foam cushioning material in the running industry. It combines soft comfort with responsive energy for the ultimate running experience.

With its unique construction, it gives soft and comfortable touchdown and a smooth transition to the forefoot.

In the heat, in the cold and after countless kilometers, it performs more consistently and doesn’t lose its cushioning properties like standard EVA foam.

Holding its performance in almost any condition the exclusive BOOST™ material has been proven to be three times more temperature-resistant than standard EVA material, thus providing a more consistent and comfortable run.

Stay fit everyone!

TALLY WEIJL reveals its early Spring collection 2013!

This season a cool breeze blows over the collection with a blast from the past in 90’s hip-hop style.

Sportswear is a must for the Tally Weijl girl who gets inspired by urban style by matching comic sweaters to leather effect and patented skirts.

She pairs wedge sneakers with dip dye and destroyed denim for a totally look-at-me style and lets jewels, studs and eyelets electrify her outfits.

Our It Girl, is an urban chameleon playing with multiple styles: from Aztec dresses, tribal embroideries and geometric prints on pants, to a mysterious style wearing tops with spiritual symbols.

Dressember 2012- Round up

Dressember has ended, it was so much fun with all the dresses and pictures taking.

Ok, so I only got 20 pictures of dresses, not 31, it’s because I started the challenge one week later and I took some week-ends off (Sundays at home, enjoying pajamas…).

So here’s a recap of all the dresses I wore during last month

For those who don’t know what Dressember is, you can read my previous post here.

See you next year 😉
