Dressember Day 30 In Collaboration With Sarah Bond

Today is the last day of my Dressember 2014 challenge, if you don’t know what it is, you can check my previous post here.

I kept the best dress for the last, as it’s a reveal of a collaboration with the creative Sarah Bond, you can see her latest work that she showcased in the Christmas trunk show that she did in White Sur White here.

I loved her collection and for today I chose a dress that spoke to me with its vibrant colors and fit cut.

I chose this one shouldered / strapless ready to wear dress, bleu gitane with a touch of yellow (my favorite color <3) that is pleasant to wear, comfortable, elegant and attractive!

CCCL Sunset Rendez-vous at Amethyste!

I’m starting today’s post with a simple and touching quote:

“There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others.” ― Mandy Hale, The Single Woman: Life, Love, and a Dash of Sass

And this how the Children Cancer Center Lebanon (CCCL) organized two days ago an Elite VIP event that was held at the Amethyste Lounge in Phoenicia Intecontinental Beirut for a noble cause

Where Fashion meets Passion for a Noble Cause

The first Global Party Elite VIP’s event in Lebanon included a Fur Fashion show by G. Nasrallah and a Walk-in Closet by International Lebanese Designer Georges Hobeika, in addition to live entertainment, and live food stations.

The fur collection was nice, my favorite was the white one with a bit of grey. But I felt bad for the models, it was too hot and they had to walk a long way, between the people, wearing them :S

The Georges Hobeika collection was interesting too, his dresses are  chic yet simple, with a lot of vibrant colors and different textures.

Attendants had the chance to benefit from a discount when purchasing any item of the collection and at the same time supporting the children of CCCL.

It was nice to attend such an event, and to meet fellow bloggers, PR and friends.

I think it’s a nice initiative and I encourage everyone to support the CCCL center in any way they can.

The dress I was wearing is from “Ma Petite Boutique” in Achrafieh

Mademoiselle Epaulette!

Mlle Epaulette celebrates style and femininity in a truly contemporary setting. In a visual diary of endless wanderlust, Remi Sabbah mixes together an eclectic array of color, texture and print with ease. Romantically sensitive, her quirky edge reflects a wearable, yet sophisticated, style. ”The MLLE EPAULETTE woman is confident, unique, and most importantly has a strong sense of her own personal style.”

The New Spring/Summer 2014 Collection follows the spirit of Mademoiselle Epaulette but with an extra note of color in each design. It is named “The Blossom” since it is the first complete ready to wear collection of the designer. Inspired by the first blossoms of spring the designer features bright vibrant colors and lively flower prints, the fabrics used are soft, fine and light denoting thus a flirty note to the collection.

Flirty skater skirts, colorful crop tops, sparkling bodysuits, exaggerated vintage midi skirts and sophisticated monochrome dresses. The new S/S 2014 collection makes up a complete wardrobe with ready to wear designs that suit every occasion. Her desire is to create designs that would appeal to women with different styles, that would make them feel truly unique.

The brand is based in Europe/Cyprus and it is mainly sold through the official online web store and in selected luxury boutiques. http://www.mlleepaulettegirl.com/.

The designer herself features pieces of her collection in her personal blog – Visual Diary of style and Wanderlust.

I loved the Spring/Summer collection, but if you know me well, you will know that my favorite is the yellow dress and the mini pink dress.

Which one is your favorite?

Around two weeks ago, I was invited to the opening of Dina Jsr‘s boutique in the chic Saifi Village in Beirut.

I loved the tones of the set; so soft, feminine and sorbet… with pink ice cream and cotton candy, pop corn, finger foods and champagne…

The models were mingling between the fashion lovers, the colors of the Spring/Summer 2014 collection are so serene and the designs are so breathtaking…

A designer renown for her meticulous attention to detail and supreme quality, the boutique was a testament to Dina’s eye for perfection. And with a location as perfect as this one, the boutique is set to become a must see destination for fashion lovers in the city.

You have to check it out!

Discovering: Santiago Beirut

After I started noticing the chic and colorful outfits on my timeline, I had to check the store in person.

What initially started as a small jeans and sportswear store in Kaslik during the civil war in 1979, gradually grew to become a multi-brand fashion boutique.
Since its establishment, Santiago has been a pioneer in bringing cutting edge designer clothes and accessories from around the world, and in the process making its distinct mark on the Lebanese fashion scene.

In addition to its current locations in Kaslik and Ashrafieh, Santiago has recently opened its doors in Downtown Beirut.

Santiago carries numerous exclusive and well-known American, Belgian, French, Italian and Spanish brand names. They include Antonio Marras, Essentiel, Hache, Hartford, Henry Beguelin, High, Iro, Isola Marras, Malandrino, Maliparmi, Malloni, Sita Murt, Fani Xenophontos, Anika Lena Skarstrom, Sophie d’Hoore and Amaya Arzuaga. Also available are swimwear collections from Fisico.

Their Spring/Summer collection is so fresh and full of life, you have to check it out 🙂

Introducing: Milia M

milia m

Milia Maroun is the designer behind Lebanon-based fashion label Milia M. Born and brought up in Beirut, Maroun studied fashion design at Esmod in Paris before becoming a lingerie designer and then subsequently launching her own label in 2000. In doing so she has become a pioneering female fashion designer from the Middle East – choosing to start directly in the domain of ready-to-wear over couture, placing accessibility, comfort and femininity at the centre of her designs.

Her aesthetic is one underpinned by a sense of free spirit, intelligence and a sexy humility while remaining sophisticated and contemporary. A woman designing for fellow women, Maroun seeks to empower through her expert cuts and detailed ornamentation: her use of folds, layers and wrapping to draw attention to the body; the different use of threads in all creations; the caftan coat and the Lebanese tradition of silk weaving among the signatures that has helped to carve out her fashion name.

And for the first time, Designer Milia M has open her atelier doors for clients and friends to discover and uncover her iconic pieces, best sellers, as well as her previous and actual collections.

I had the chance, with my fellow bloggers, to check ahead of the event the atelier, the place where the all the designs and creations come out.

After a group chat with Milia M, we had the chance to wander and see all the lovely designs…

If you missed the event, you can always pass by her boutique in Saifi Village and check her lovely collections.

Fairytale Bridal Collection by Zeina Kash

 “Once in a while,

Right in the middle of an ordinary life

Love gives us a Fairytale”

Around two weeks ago, I was invited to attend the launch of the Fairytale Bridal Collection by Zeina Kash that was held at the exclusive “KA, Private Art Gallery”.

The 10 dresses were exposed in a magical way around the gallery, where we had a tour with the presence of the designer Zeina Kash and fellow fashionistas and beauty bloggers.

For her Spring/Summer 2014 latest collection, Zeina Kash was inspired by the magical world of fairytales with each dress reflecting the charm and beauty of a different princess, transporting the bride to an elegant, dreamy and distinguished world of Love.

I loved how she combined different textures in each dress, taking you to a different fairytale in a simple and luxurious design…
