Monday Office Look

The storm is gone, the sun is shining again and i’m back to wearing pants.

I missed my shirts and my gilets, took the time to iron them yesterday, and got today’s outfit all calculated in my mind!

I matched my classical black pants by Med available at GS Stores, with my grey shirt from LTB By Littlebig available at BigStar Shops, and my black gilet from Tally Weijl.

To add a chic touch, I had my striped hat on from Mango

But what upsets me is that after taking the time to iron the shirt, you wear it for like 5 minutes and it’s a kaput again 😦 Does it happen to you?

If you’re wondering why my hand is always in the way in my pictures lately, it’s because I’m taking my own photos. I find it a fun way, to improve my photography skills and to distract me from my fear of the cam!

Happy Monday everyone!

Dressember Day 30 In Collaboration With Sarah Bond

Today is the last day of my Dressember 2014 challenge, if you don’t know what it is, you can check my previous post here.

I kept the best dress for the last, as it’s a reveal of a collaboration with the creative Sarah Bond, you can see her latest work that she showcased in the Christmas trunk show that she did in White Sur White here.

I loved her collection and for today I chose a dress that spoke to me with its vibrant colors and fit cut.

I chose this one shouldered / strapless ready to wear dress, bleu gitane with a touch of yellow (my favorite color <3) that is pleasant to wear, comfortable, elegant and attractive!

GodFather event at Cavalli Caffe: Where Crime meets Fashion!

I got really excited after received an intriguing invitation in my inbox about a themed event: “GodFather” event in Cavalli Caffe. Dress code was chic Black & White!

But why was I so so excited? Since ever, Cavalli has always been one of my favorite brands ❤

And the idea of mixing between crime and fashion was enthralling!

I got there, to find surprises waiting for us; black hats, red roses, cigars and toy guns. Just like in the movie!

Fellows fashion bloggers, as well as food bloggers and a lot from the online community attended the event. The ambiance was really nice, the dress code colors were homogeneous with the interior animal print. Red lipstick and sangrias were adding color and life.

The food was appetizing, perfect temperature and taste!

Thank you Cavalli Caffe for this offbeat event, and until next time :*

Lebanon Water Festival 2014

Almost two weeks ago, I attended the Press Conference announcing the Lebanon Water Festival 2014 in the presence of his excellency the Minister of Tourism.

water festival

This is the third season of the Lebanese Water Festival, and it’s gonna be an eight-week series of activities and seaside shows highlighting the country’s wealth of water sports.

“The water festival has become one of Lebanon’s recognized festivals after just a few years of success,” said Tourism Minister Michel Pharaon. We hope [the] 2014 festival will also bring together our main cities along the shore and enlighten our summer.”

Lebanon Water Festival offers a unified platform for promoting the county’s various recreational water activities by offering discounted group classes for sports like surfing and kite boarding throughout August and September. Weekly competitions, mostly among amateur athletes, also dot the schedule and have brought in crowds of spectators to an array of sports that organizers believe have until now gone on under the radar.

This summer’s lessons include water skiing, stand up paddle, kite boarding, apnea (or free-diving), training and underwater photography. Over the next eight weeks, the festival will also hold some semi-professional-level events, such as water ski shows, free-diving in the north, sailing regattas and an underwater photography competition, which has in the past attracted professionals from abroad.

Festivities will wrap up with four different encompassing water shows, two in Tyre and two in Dbayeh.

The first event of the festival will be in Jounieh. It will be an International Jet ski race at Hayali Bay in Jounieh on August 10th. The event starts at 3 p.m. and will be a  great way to spend a Sunday on the sea.

Will you be joining the festival?

Meet The Blogger #14: Anna and Maria from “Notre Closet”

Today’s bloggers, are two cute twins who share the same passion: Fashion, Photography and Travel.

Get to know them more here

Question 1: We know that you have a deep love for fashion, can you tell us more how it started and how you decided to have a fashion blog?

Hello 😀

We are twins that’s right, but each one had love for something: Anna always loved writing and the online community. And Maria was always good in drawing, sketching and designing. We noticed that year by year, we become a bit far from each other: we have different works, each one her own group… so we decided to create something that will bound us again: our choice was evident. We love fashion, we love photography and travel. We started our fashion blog 😀

We began the photo shoots and posts were coming up. We got amazing feedbacks that encouraged us more.  At the beginning, we wanted to share our personal style and inspirations. Post after post, we wanted to show that it is possible to stay fashionable while being on a small budget and also show that it is ok to wear your clothes over and over again – you just need to be creative and combine the right items and accessories.

Question 2: What is your favorite summer trend?

For this summer we choose crop tops and denim. We just adore those items:D

We are also in love with floral patterns and mixing prints procedure. We like the white and black neutrals and we are having fun with logo shirts 😉

Question 3: From where do you get your inspiration?

We draw inspiration from anything and everything around us: it can be people on the streets, movies, nature, art exhibitions, bloggers, TV shows and music…

Question 4: What is the one thing that you can’t leave the house without?

Anna: make up item: mascara

Other item: pen and a small notebook.

Maria: make up item: lipstick

Other item: necklace and a bar of chocolate 😛

Question 5: What are the colors that you feel more comfortable with?

Anna: I love nude light colors like pink and blue which are very trendy this year. Pastel tones. They show feminism and lot of simplicity, elegance and a chic spirit! I Love also the Leopard texture, it is really fun to play with such patterns and mix it with others.

Maria: on top of my list comes the WHITE color. I love the pastel colors as well.

TALLY WEIJL SPRING/SUMMER 2013 CAMPAIGN WITH DARIA PLEGGENKUHLE

The TALLY WEIJL Spring / Summer 2013 campaign is totally different from the old ones.

For the first time, since many years, they chose a dark hair model! And she’s so, so gorgeous!

Model: DARIA PLEGGENKUHLE
Photographer: GUY AROCH

The shooting was on the beach, under the hot Miami Sun 😉

Her style was between hip hop chic and trendy boho, the perfect combination when in the sunshine.

The overall look screams denim: sleeveless jackets, shorts, or jeans in that super stylish bleach and destroyed shade.

This season: don’t worry, be sexy 😉
