Monday Office Look

The storm is gone, the sun is shining again and i’m back to wearing pants.

I missed my shirts and my gilets, took the time to iron them yesterday, and got today’s outfit all calculated in my mind!

I matched my classical black pants by Med available at GS Stores, with my grey shirt from LTB By Littlebig available at BigStar Shops, and my black gilet from Tally Weijl.

To add a chic touch, I had my striped hat on from Mango

But what upsets me is that after taking the time to iron the shirt, you wear it for like 5 minutes and it’s a kaput again 😦 Does it happen to you?

If you’re wondering why my hand is always in the way in my pictures lately, it’s because I’m taking my own photos. I find it a fun way, to improve my photography skills and to distract me from my fear of the cam!

Happy Monday everyone!

Alice Eddé Autumn‐Winter 2014‐2015 Collection

I was invited to the launch of the newest collection by Alice Eddé, in Green & Glam, Achrafieh, Zahret El Ehsan.

greenglam-10-141024065004365

Once again, the Alice Eddé collection garners its inspiration from the spectrum of  colors blooming in Alice’ own garden.
Rich,  deep and exotic,  the mauveemerald and  heather jewel  tones  of Winter’s
cyclamens,  violets,  primroses  and  evergreens  are  celebrated,  and  contrasted
with  classic  blacks.  This  allows  the  punctuations  of  color  to  really  pop,  and
brighten any outfit this season.

The collection comprises a full range of sizes, from tote messenger bags and lux
backpacks  to  clutches  and  smaller  leather  goods, including  laptop  sleeves  and
phone covers.
Handcrafted by  traditional artisans in Byblos, Lebanon  from  the highest quality
nubucks,  leathers,  lambskins and  fabrics,  these  elegant  yet  fashion‐forward
statement  pieces  are  designed  in  the  distinctive  Alice  Eddé ‘envelope’  style,
which can easily take you from midday to soirée.

I loved the collection, especially how the bright colors were introduced (pink and yellow), and I appreciated the small-sized bags, that you can carry with you everywhere.

My favorite bag from the collection is this one, mixing golden and black.

Get to know more about her here:

1- How did you move from being a banker, to an Etiquette consultant?

Actually I’m still very much hand on as a senior banker too, but being a perfectionist myself who likes to see things better led me to help out & share my Etiquette tips which are based on degrees obtained in the field in addition to experience in the work place with the public.

2- When did you find out that you have the passion for Etiquette and Fashion?

At a very early age & in fact I was supposed to be in the world of Diplomacy & not in the corporate world or banking in specific, but unfortunately the circumstances in the country of origin, Lebanon didn’t permit at the time of graduation from university.

3- What is your fashion style? Do you follow trends?

I do follow trends but definitely choose from it what suits my personality, life style, occasion etc… My style is classified as a classic elegant, yet that doesn’t mean that I don’t experiment & have fun in different styles & even be daring sometimes 🙂
4- What made you choose the topic for your guidebook ” travel etiquette”?

The same repeated annoying mistakes of passengers, whether at the airport, at the business lounges or on-board planes…

Meet The Blogger #13: Aline From Nouchaline

It’s been a while since I didn’t update my #MeetTheBlogger section, but there are a lot of arising new fashion bloggers, so I decide to hunt them again 😉

Today’s blogger, is not a new blogger, she has been blogging since 2009, she’s fresh, cute and she’s shoe freak… You all know here “NOUCHALINE”.

If you haven’t seen her blog, get to know her through the questions here under…

1- How long have you been blogging?

Since the end of 2009.

2- How many hours per day do you dedicate to the blog?

At the beginning I would spend a lot of time on the blog, sometimes more than 2 hours a day. But lately with work, uni, and extra-curriculars I’ve been spending less time 😛

3- Has it been worth it so far?

Yes! I didn’t really know what to expect from the blog, but it has allowed me to meet a lot of interesting people, and to take part in and attend amazing events.

4- How many page views does your blog get daily?

Well it depends; it goes up and down a lot with new posts. But on average around 300ish views a day.

5- How many blogs do you have or write for currently?

I currently own one blog, but I have some ideas for a new

project… hopefully it works out 😛

I also contribute to the http://fashionbeirut.com/ personal style where I write about shoes.

6- How many hours do you dedicate to them every day?

I don’t blog daily, although there was a time that I did, each blog post can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours to work on.

7- Do you think one needs to post daily to be successful?

Nope. It’s better to post whenever you have a decent post instead of posting just random things daily just for the sake of posting daily.

8- Is there an ideal posting frequency?

I strive for around 3 posts a week, but I think it depends on the blog’s nature. Some of them should be updated daily, others should be updated just a couple of times a week.

9- What is the biggest blogging mistake you did?

Not planning my posts lately and updating the blog. I’ve been a bit negligent with posts this year, but I’m waiting for my summer vacation to catch up and fix things.

10- What is the biggest mistake you see in blog designs?

Too much add-ins, weird picture backgrounds, and the biggest mistake is when you can’t comment on a post!

11- Twitter is a distraction or a good promotional tool?

BOTH!

12- Do you think that any professional should have a blog?

I don’t think it’s mandatory; a person should blog because he/ she wants to and not because he/she has to.

13- If you could give an advice for a novice blogger, what would it be?

Plan your posts! I should listen to this myself 😛

14- What is the secret of your success, expressed in one word?

Keepin’ it real, that’s not one word… Shoes?

15- If you could write a post on any blog in the world, which one would you pick?

I’d love to write for Hello Giggles, Shoeperwoman, and IFB.

These are probably my favorite blogs out there, although the first is not necessarily about fashion.

All Mollon Pro products are designed for professional beauty parlors as well as for the continuation of nail styling and care. I chose a relaxing color suitable for this time of year, when shifting between winter dark colors and not yet ready for flashy colors –> The Pink Mocha

cache_300_300_1_57. PINK MOCHA

The texture is just what you need, not very thick and not very light, after applying two coats, you get the color needed.

Plus their formula is enriched with hardener that extends lacquer durability up to 7 days, it lasted all week with no chipping 🙂

OK, my hands were very dry that day, stay tuned for a hand cream review 😉
