Goodbye Summer Party on the top of Square Lounge!

I am a summer person and it’s really hard for me to say goodbye to the season that is full of life, activities, parties and fun.

I should have posted this post a while ago, because the party took place at the end of September, but I still don’t want to let go…

Movenpick Hotel’s goodbye summer party was on top of the heap! We were well welcomed at the door of the hotel, with a special setting of the living fountain romanesque statue to take pictures, then we were accompanied to the Square Lounge.

The Square Lounge was full of good vibes, amazing beats and delicious bites.

Enjoying the breathtaking sea view, we were also entertained with acrobatic art and cute memes.

It was a splendid evening, wishing Movenpick Hotel a great winter season!

Rejuvenate and Revive Dull Summer Skin!

A while ago, I introduced to you the revolutionary “Innovi Cell Therapy Clinic” and the interesting services they provide.

If you haven’t had the chance to check my previous post, you can check it out here.

After my visit to their clinic in Sodeco, I got the chance to test two of their services, the “Cosmo Peel” and the “Ozone Therapy”.

I chose to test the “Cosmo Peel” because I had acne and scars, especially on my cheeks and on my chin.

Innovi 051

The “Cosmo Peel” treatment is by “Dermaceutic Laboratoire”, which is the partner of choice for over 30,000 aesthetic dermatology specialists throughout the world.

One of the first cosmeceutical companies to develop products using ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, stabilized vitamin C, and glycolic acid; Dermaceutic has led the cosmeceutical industry in the discovery of effective combinations of ingredients for use in aesthetic dermatology.

A Dermaceutic Rejuvenation Cosmo Peel is a simple procedure with very low down-time in most cases. It is recommended for advanced signs of sun damage and ageing of the skin such as loss of elasticity, scars, wrinkles and a smokers complexion.

dermaceutic-cosmo-peel

The “Cosmo Peel” is one of the deepest chemical peels, it includes 4 in clinic peels. Each peel is spaced 2 weeks apart and takes approx. 20 mins.

How does the “Cosmo Peel” work?

The session is of several steps and lasts between 15 and 30 minutes.

First the skin is cleaned with a pre-peel cleanser, then the main product is applied all over the face, except the eyes area. During this phase, you will feel a weird sensation of tingling and heating, which is completely normal and is sign that the product is working fine.

The skin care specialist was so kind and considerate during this phase and during all the treatment, she tried to make the experience as comfortable as she could.

After the application time is over, the skin care specialist applied the Cosmocream, which gave my skin an immediate sign of comfort. I had to keep this cream on my face for the following 12 hours. (No face washing before going to bed!).

A few days after the treatment, my face started to peel, it started with my nose area, then moved to the cheeks, then forehead and chin.

I was expecting it to be annoying, and I thought that I would be hiding from people during this period, but on the contrary, my skin was peeling gradually and wasn’t annoying to others.

During 15 days, I was just using the Sun Ceutic sunscreen before going out to protect my skin from UV light and I couldn’t spend any time under the sun.

After my skin peeled completely, I could feel that my skin was softer and brighter and the scares were reduced.

For a more optimal result, it is recommended to repeat the treatment at least four times every two weeks.

Everyone can benefit from the Dermaceutic gentle peels. They produce drastic results, from which recovery is quick with no time taken from work or family.

Whether you are 20 or 50, you can begin a program of skin rejuvenation to keep your skin looking great!

Stay tuned for my last post where I will be explaining more about the Ozone Therapy!

CCCL Sunset Rendez-vous at Amethyste!

I’m starting today’s post with a simple and touching quote:

“There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others.” ― Mandy Hale, The Single Woman: Life, Love, and a Dash of Sass

And this how the Children Cancer Center Lebanon (CCCL) organized two days ago an Elite VIP event that was held at the Amethyste Lounge in Phoenicia Intecontinental Beirut for a noble cause

SUNSET RENDEZVOUS”
Where Fashion meets Passion for a Noble Cause

The first Global Party Elite VIP’s event in Lebanon included a Fur Fashion show by G. Nasrallah and a Walk-in Closet by International Lebanese Designer Georges Hobeika, in addition to live entertainment, and live food stations.

The fur collection was nice, my favorite was the white one with a bit of grey. But I felt bad for the models, it was too hot and they had to walk a long way, between the people, wearing them :S

The Georges Hobeika collection was interesting too, his dresses are  chic yet simple, with a lot of vibrant colors and different textures.

Attendants had the chance to benefit from a discount when purchasing any item of the collection and at the same time supporting the children of CCCL.

It was nice to attend such an event, and to meet fellow bloggers, PR and friends.

I think it’s a nice initiative and I encourage everyone to support the CCCL center in any way they can.

The dress I was wearing is from “Ma Petite Boutique” in Achrafieh

Lebanon Water Festival 2014

Almost two weeks ago, I attended the Press Conference announcing the Lebanon Water Festival 2014 in the presence of his excellency the Minister of Tourism.

water festival

This is the third season of the Lebanese Water Festival, and it’s gonna be an eight-week series of activities and seaside shows highlighting the country’s wealth of water sports.

“The water festival has become one of Lebanon’s recognized festivals after just a few years of success,” said Tourism Minister Michel Pharaon. We hope [the] 2014 festival will also bring together our main cities along the shore and enlighten our summer.”

Lebanon Water Festival offers a unified platform for promoting the county’s various recreational water activities by offering discounted group classes for sports like surfing and kite boarding throughout August and September. Weekly competitions, mostly among amateur athletes, also dot the schedule and have brought in crowds of spectators to an array of sports that organizers believe have until now gone on under the radar.

This summer’s lessons include water skiing, stand up paddle, kite boarding, apnea (or free-diving), training and underwater photography. Over the next eight weeks, the festival will also hold some semi-professional-level events, such as water ski shows, free-diving in the north, sailing regattas and an underwater photography competition, which has in the past attracted professionals from abroad.

Festivities will wrap up with four different encompassing water shows, two in Tyre and two in Dbayeh.

The first event of the festival will be in Jounieh. It will be an International Jet ski race at Hayali Bay in Jounieh on August 10th. The event starts at 3 p.m. and will be a  great way to spend a Sunday on the sea.

Will you be joining the festival?

Visiting: Steigenberger Strandhotel in Zingst

My visit to Germany last summer was for a special occasion, it was to see my sister and her family of course and to be there for the baptism of my cute niece 🙂

For the baptism lunch, my sister and brother and law had chosen a special and dear place for them, the “Steigenberger Strandhotel” in Zingst.

Zingst is a touristic city in Germany, on the shore of the Baltic sea. Tourists visit it during summer to enjoy the sandy beach where you can find a lot of surfers and surfing schools!

The 18 km-long wonderful sandy beach with its virtually untouched landscape and healing climate of the Fischland- Darß-Zingst Peninsula make it one of the most beautiful destinations at the Baltic Sea.

The baptism was on a hot sunny Sunday, after the church ceremony, we headed to “Steigenberger Strandhotel”.

The welcome drinks were on the terrace, waiting for everyone to be there, then we moved inside to their fancy “Nautica” restaurant, where we enjoyed a large selection of culinary delights.

Market-fresh products from the region inspire their chef de cuisine at the “Nautica” restaurant every day to offer exquisite creations.

After lunch, everyone took a break to enjoy the lovely weather outside, relaxing by the pool or having a walk on the lovely sandy beach. It is only a few minutes on foot from the hotel to the fine sandy beach or to the picturesque center of the town.

Then it was desert time, we enjoyed a wide selection of delicious cakes, croissants and drinks.

If you’re planning to visit Zingst during your summer vacation, “Steigenberger Strandhotel” is a place that you have to pass by, with family or friends, and enjoy a relaxing time.

Miss you mousey and see you soon :*

Meet The Blogger #14: Anna and Maria from “Notre Closet”

Today’s bloggers, are two cute twins who share the same passion: Fashion, Photography and Travel.

Get to know them more here

Question 1: We know that you have a deep love for fashion, can you tell us more how it started and how you decided to have a fashion blog?

Hello 😀

We are twins that’s right, but each one had love for something: Anna always loved writing and the online community. And Maria was always good in drawing, sketching and designing. We noticed that year by year, we become a bit far from each other: we have different works, each one her own group… so we decided to create something that will bound us again: our choice was evident. We love fashion, we love photography and travel. We started our fashion blog 😀

We began the photo shoots and posts were coming up. We got amazing feedbacks that encouraged us more.  At the beginning, we wanted to share our personal style and inspirations. Post after post, we wanted to show that it is possible to stay fashionable while being on a small budget and also show that it is ok to wear your clothes over and over again – you just need to be creative and combine the right items and accessories.

Question 2: What is your favorite summer trend?

For this summer we choose crop tops and denim. We just adore those items:D

We are also in love with floral patterns and mixing prints procedure. We like the white and black neutrals and we are having fun with logo shirts 😉

Question 3: From where do you get your inspiration?

We draw inspiration from anything and everything around us: it can be people on the streets, movies, nature, art exhibitions, bloggers, TV shows and music…

Question 4: What is the one thing that you can’t leave the house without?

Anna: make up item: mascara

Other item: pen and a small notebook.

Maria: make up item: lipstick

Other item: necklace and a bar of chocolate 😛

Question 5: What are the colors that you feel more comfortable with?

Anna: I love nude light colors like pink and blue which are very trendy this year. Pastel tones. They show feminism and lot of simplicity, elegance and a chic spirit! I Love also the Leopard texture, it is really fun to play with such patterns and mix it with others.

Maria: on top of my list comes the WHITE color. I love the pastel colors as well.

5 Tips to Transition your Wardrobe from Winter to Summer!

The sun is up, the beach is calling, it’s nature’s way of telling you to get that coat back to where it belongs (the back…back… of the closet!) and get out all the fresh and comfy outfits.

tips 005

For me, summer is all about light textures and colors, here are some transitional tips that will help you through

1- Lighten up

Add light colors to your wardrobe and softer textures.

Pastel  is the “it” shade of the season. The hue comes in different colors from pink, purple, green, coral and blue. Wearing the pretty pale shades head-to-toe is unmistakably feminine, plus it’s also refreshingly au courant.

If you’re not into these colors add more white to your wardrobe. No color is more fresh or crisp than white, so when you wear the hue from head to toe, it results in an exceptionally stylish, high-impact look.

2- Color of the Year

Don’t forget about the Pantone color of the year: Radiant Orchid. This is another fun way to update your outfit. Wear the color as a shirt, or skirt  –> quick and easy way to bring your look into Summer.

3- Patterns:

Summer is the perfect time to play with patterns. Florals are popping up in store windows everywhere. Each piece is going to add visual appeal to your outfit and ensure you are transitioning into the summer with a chic and dynamic wardrobe.

4- Accessories

The winter to summer transition is not just an opportunity to mix up your clothing, but also your accessories, make-up, even nail polish.

Add a statement necklace or earrings to your outfits and keep everything else simple.

5- Beauty

floral 016

Go for a glowing highlighter on cheeks but keep your lips matte. And skip the heavy eyeliner, a neutral eye shadow and thick mascara will keep your look fresh.

Nail polish is another fun way to add a little Spring to your look. Again go for brights or pastels!
